1. Scope of Services
GEO IOT SERVICES provides installation, configuration, commissioning, maintenance, inspection and technical support services for products and systems supplied by us or, where expressly agreed, products supplied by third parties.
2. Approved Scope
Installation services will be performed according to the approved quotation, project scope, specifications and agreed requirements.
Work outside the approved scope may incur additional charges.
3. Site Conditions
The customer must provide accurate information concerning the installation site.
Where unforeseen site conditions are discovered, additional costs may arise for:
- Labour
- Materials
- Cabling
- Civil works
- Structural works
- Electrical works
- Mounting structures
- Transportation
- Additional equipment
- Site access
Where reasonably practicable, GEO IOT SERVICES will notify the customer before undertaking significant additional work.
4. Customer Access and Cooperation
The customer must provide:
- Safe access to the site
- Necessary permissions
- Required access to electrical systems or equipment
- Reasonably safe working conditions
- Accurate information concerning the site
- Cooperation necessary to complete the installation
Delays caused by failure to provide access or cooperation may result in additional charges or revised completion dates.
5. Customer Negligence
After installation and handover, GEO IOT SERVICES shall not be responsible, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, for damage or malfunction caused by customer negligence, misuse or improper handling.
Examples include:
- Physical impact
- Tampering
- Vandalism
- Unauthorised repairs
- Unauthorised modification
- Incorrect wiring
- Overloading
- Improper operation
- Failure to follow instructions
- Improper maintenance
- Unauthorised relocation
- Deliberate damage
- Damage caused by animals or pests
- Failure to protect equipment from known hazards
6. Third-Party Interference
If another technician, contractor, employee, tenant, customer or third party modifies, repairs, relocates, disconnects or interferes with an installed system without written authorisation from GEO IOT SERVICES, GEO IOT SERVICES shall not be responsible for resulting damage or malfunction to the extent caused or contributed to by that interference.
7. Electrical and Environmental Events
Unless specifically covered by the applicable warranty, GEO IOT SERVICES shall not be responsible for damage caused by:
- Lightning
- Power surges
- Electrical faults originating outside the installed equipment
- Fire
- Flooding
- Storms
- Extreme environmental conditions
- Theft
- Vandalism
8. Installation Completion
Upon completion, the customer should inspect the installation.
Where a customer signs an installation completion or handover document, the customer acknowledges receipt of the installation subject to any outstanding issues specifically recorded in that document.
This does not remove rights relating to latent defects or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Service Calls
Where a service call is determined to have resulted from customer negligence, misuse, unauthorised modification, third-party interference or another condition outside the applicable warranty, GEO IOT SERVICES may charge reasonable fees for:
- Inspection
- Transportation
- Labour
- Replacement parts
- Repairs
- Additional materials
10. Safety
Customers must not interfere with electrical, solar, CCTV, weighbridge or other technical systems in a manner that creates a safety risk.
Electrical modifications and repairs should only be performed by appropriately qualified personnel.
11. Service Delays
GEO IOT SERVICES will make reasonable efforts to attend service requests within agreed timeframes.
However, service times may be affected by:
- Parts availability
- Supplier delays
- Site access
- Weather
- Security conditions
- Transport
- Emergencies
- Circumstances outside our reasonable control
12. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Installation and Service Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Subject to applicable law, GEO IOT SERVICES shall not be responsible for damage resulting from conditions or actions outside our reasonable control or outside the agreed scope of work.
